How gorgeous are these new @viragopress editions of Alcott's 'Little Women' series? I couldn't resist them! I recently read a great article by Lucy Mangan in the Spectator about Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy, which had me reflecting on which of the girls is my favourite. I think I'd have to go for Jo, although I've got a big soft spot for Meg too. How about you?
ALSO - I'm starting a new little project on this page! I love collecting fun literary facts, which I generally scribble into notebooks, but I thought it would be a good idea to start sharing them here (as close to daily as possible!). I'm starting a hashtag for this: #bibliofunfact
I hope you like this idea, and If you'd like to join in and share your favourite literary facts, then do use the hashtag and tag me in your post, and I'll share my favourites on this account!
With that said, today's #bibliofunfact is: Louisa May Alcott's original title for 'Little Women' was 'The Pathetic Family.' It's not got quite the same ring, does it?! 😂
👉🏽Have any of every done that task where by you write out your perfect day? Like literally sit down, use your imagination, dream and think hard about what an absolutely perfect day would look like for you? ✍🏽💫Where would you be? 🌎What would your house look like? 🏡What time would you wake up? ⌚️What would your morning routine look like? 🧘🏽♂️What time would you go to work? 👩🏽💻What would you ideally be doing? 🤔Who would you spend time with? 👭etc.
✍🏽I was engaging in a very similar task today and remembered this one I picked up a few years ago from @lewishowes book,“The School Of Greatness”so thought i’d share it with you guys. Its a powerful task to engage in and I thought it was really cool because how many people actually sit down, think about this clearly and get specific with it. 🤷🏽♀️I know at first I was like, damn…how am I finding this question so hard to answer? Anyone else feel like that? If you do, then you are probably someone who needs to do this the most! Yes you!🙌🏽
🤓The point of this task is to elicit clarity and Lewis is basically saying that writing down your dreams is the first movement into bringing them to life.
🤨I actually found it mildly stressful at first because of how many possibilities there are. I think if you’re one of those people that falls into that category, just think of writing it down today and know that you can come back tomorrow and change things if you want. I challenge you guys to do it though. I think its important to at least be able to imagine, dream and visualize something like that no matter how out of reach it may seem! 🤩Remember you can always go back and change it tomorrow.😊

EP-129 | Making of a Night Stalker
From @tomsatterly on the recent 160th SOAR Anniversary: “I have watched them continue to hover while taking RPG hits and gun fire because there were soldiers on the rope. I have seen pilots fly after being shot in the face to get the men home only to pass out upon return to the MSS. I have seen pilots crash in such a way it only killed them and saved the rest of the crew and men in back. Night Stalkers truly do not quit. Thank you for being so dedicated and supportive. I know your hours and tours are long and frequent and that affects your families. We are here to help with anything you need whether it is help or counseling or marriage retreats to find each other again after so many deployments.” NSDQ. SINE PARI
