Where there is no vision, the people perish.—Proverbs 29:18🙏
This weekend has been an unforgettable learning experience, with invaluable mentorship and priceless wisdom. Learning from a legend in our network marketing industry has been extraordinary and humbling, and even more so special and blessed because the incredible leaders in my organization who run with me in my market qualified to be there as well. 💗
Our vision as a team has never been more crystal clear. Sharing afterwards how the training has impacted each of us, and the synergy we felt on knowing where we want to take our people was at an elevated level to say the least. The leadership of XSRise is filled with faith, spirit, hope, determination, courage and strength, and we are ready to grow furthermore and lead. I am truly blessed to call them family.🔥
Special thanks to VP of Asia Sales Danny Bae, and especially to a legend of legends, Jerry Ballah and his wonderful wife Marcy Ballah. We are indebted in gratitude for your mentorship.
I just got home from a few weeks driving, biking, hiking, gondola’ing(thats a word right?), cable car’ing (also a word) and helicoptering well over 3,000km through six different countries. At some point in time I will write all about how I feel at home in Europe, how accessible everything is, how crazy the languages are and try to make you feel like you were there with me. But for today, I am feeling bittersweet. Thats what travel does to me, it sets my soul on fire and then, all at once, its over and I am at home in my favourite place of all sipping coffee in bed and catching up on everything that was neglected while I was gone. I don’t think I was nearly ready to come home, but now that I am here there is nowhere I would rather be.
This photo taken by Staff Sergeant Martin Riley during the brutality of the Korean War depicts combat correspondant Sergeant Frank Praytor of the 1st Marine Division of the United States Marine Corps as he is using a medicine dropper full of watered-down canned milk to feed a two week old kitten, which he personally adopted after its mother was killed. Image taken somewhere near Hill 800 "Bunker Hill", in South Korea. October 18th 1952. Sergeant Praytor himself said that the kitten was orphaned during the war as a soldier shot her mother, apparently because she was yeowling too much. Praytor also said the kitten did have a sibling and that the sibling was adopted by another soldier, but sadly the sibling was also killed when the soldier accidentally rolled over on it while he slept. This kitten Paytor adopted was named: "Miss Hap", as he reasoned she was born at the wrong place at the wrong time. It was reported that Praytor also adopted a dog in 1953 and named it Mangy, but alas one day a battery of American mortar fire fightened the dog and caused it to take off. Unfortunately Praytor never saw the dog again after that even after a week long search, but some concluded that Mangy was probably taken and eaten by Korean laborers. Praytor soon became famous after this photo made it back to the United States as it was published in over 1,700 newspapers both there and internationally, and he commonly received hundreds of letters from the public, including some simply addressed to: "Kitten Marine, Korea." In a 2009 interview Sergeant Praytor also claimed that he received several marriage proposals from women in these letters, including a few from some men as well. Ironically Miss Hap also saved Praytor almost as much as how he saved her, as after he took a photo of a wounded Marine for a photo competition he was facing court martial since he violated a regulation prohibiting publication of photos not cleared by military censors. He ended up not being court-martialed as a Marine commandant ripped up the documents that charged him, letting him off the hook and away from a military brig due to his celebrity status. Stripping back to an empty room = a blank canvas!
For almost a year now this room has been a constantly evolving work space for filming, editing, designing, content creating, recording, mess making, equipment storage, excess food storage etc. etc. and now all that is left is a desk and blank walls to start again! •
I’m looking forward to turning this little space into more of a dressing room/closet type space as I have outgrown the one in our room, and with a few minor additions I think it’s will be all too easy to make it usable again!
