When you two were born, the house was a beautiful mess for several days. Sometimes there was enough time to do the dishes but instead I hold you both for countless hours, I always tough that you’re probably feel more comfortable in your bed, but I still hold you.
There were many times I didn’t make dinner (breakfast & lunch). I would rather give you a lot of pampering and all the attention you two needed.
Many times I didn’t empty the washing machine for three days. I'd rather be with you on the couch, snuggling and watching the rain fall.
For several days I didn’t saw the kitchen sink empty, and many times we have eaten the yoghurts with forks.
Many times I said that I was going to take the garbage out and the next day it was still on the kitchen bin.
There were baskets and baskets of clothes that I supposed to have ironed but then I never got time. I'd rather see you two sleeping. Watch your little tummy go up and down countless times each time you breathe.
There were many baths I didn’t take (not to mention the days I didn’t brush my teeth’s). I would rather play all day with you. Laugh with you both till our tummies hurt.
Many times I left the house with my three-day old clothes on my body, and my hair on a bun to hide those three days I didn’t comb it either.
Sometimes when daddy got home I would lock myself in the bathroom, pretending to take a shower, when in reality I spent the fifteen minutes sitting in the tub crying because I was exhausted or because it had been one of those days which anxiety did not let me sleep or depression did not let me even open the curtains at home.
I choose coo sleeping with you both and many nights I didn’t sleep when you two were sick.
Many times I went out to buy things for myself and I came home with only things for you.
Sometimes I’m afraid of being a bad Mother. I’m afraid to fail and not giving you both all that you two deserve and need, but one thing I know for sure, I have endless Love and I know that I am giving/transmitting it to you both!
You will always be my priority in life.
The house can wait. I can wait.
