I'm off to a fringe artists' group paint party! I haven't done something like this in years, but my beautiful sunshiney friend @lambfineart is inspiring me to say yes! I'm feeling open and willing to show up. And I mean really show up! I know from past experience that live drawing and painting confronts my sensitive wounds - desires to be perfect. There is no perfect in live drawing. It calls for spontaneity and fluidity, leaving thought and judgment behind. I am ready and willing to let go! Keep up with my work live tonight by clicking my story up top! ☝🏼🤓
Often on the path of practice, sangha and spiritual running buddies are the wind beneath our wings supporting us to grow, stretch, and show compassion when we need it the most💞
They give us the uplift and assurance that regardless of what experiences we are having within our practice OR within our daily lives WE WILL BE OKAY and that we can trust the process of our unfolding lives.
Trust is big in practice. Trusting the container of meditation, trusting the act of meditation itself, and trusting that we'll bear the fruits of our practice in exactly the right moments.
Our sangha and friends help us see this. They are the mirrors for our steps forward and steps backwards, they are the unconditional kindness we often are unable to give ourselves, and they are the reminder of this TRUST.
Today I am appreciating all of the sanghas, friends, teachers, and fellow practitioners I get to share this oh-so human path of practice and daily life with🏃♀️🕺👣
