Good morning! See these English plums? They will be starring in my kitchen this weekend: poached with cinnamon for porridge, baked with apples in a crumble and served with cheese. Happy cooking and eating everyone! 👋🏼🙋🏻#eatlocal
If you read the Gospel two things are very clear: 1) Christ preaches the Truth & 2) Christ doesn't care if people are offended by the Truth. For example, look at John 6:47-67 specifically John 6:60-67.
In John 6:47-67 we see Christ preaching to the Jews about what we now know as the Eucharist; the Body,Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ which is present under the appearance of bread after a priest (Successor of the Apostles) consecrates it during Mass.
When Christ says to the Jews that they must eat his flesh and drink to have eternal life, the whole crowd is offended. Resulting in the whole crowd, including some disciples, leaving Christ back at square one with the 12 Apostles. If you read the passage, it's super clear that Christ is speaking truthfully and when the Jews begin to leave him, Christ does not try to reword what he said in order to stop them.
If you truly love someone, you tell them what's best for them even if it offends them.-JP
*Face Palm* It's like these cardinals (sadly, yes there is more than one heretical cardinal), have never read Mathew 19:3-9‼️
John the Baptist and Sir Thomas More were both killed, heads cut off, because they defended God's commandment,
6 ...What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder." 🔴
See what Our Lord Jesus Christ says,Matthew 19:3-9,"
3 And Pharisees came up to him and tested him by asking, "Is it lawful to divorce one's wife for any cause?"
4 He answered, "Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female,
5 and said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one'?
6 So they are no longer two but one. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder."
7 They said to him, "Why then did Moses command one to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?"
8 He said to them, "For your hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.
9 And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for unchastity, and marries another, commits adultery; and he who marries a divorced woman, commits adultery."
"A man who marries after another man’s wife has been taken away from him will be charged with adultery in the case of the first woman; but in the case of the second he will be guiltless" (Second Canonical Letter to Amphilochius 199:37 [A.D. 375]). - Saint Basil the Great
✝️ "No one is permitted to know a woman other than his wife. The marital right is given you for this reason: lest you fall into the snare and sin with a strange woman. ‘If you are bound to a wife do not seek a divorce’; for you are not permitted, while your wife lives, to marry another" (Abraham 1:7:59 [A.D. 387]). - Ambrose of Milan
When you marry someone, you're married for life. The only person you can have sex with is that person and only that person. The only exception is if that person dies and you remarry. 💥
