you are art. you are everything beautiful. not in a conventional way, not in a simple way. but because you are different. because only the rarest eyes and minds can appreciate your worth, your light, your goodness. look past the upper layers and let's discuss this. tell me everything. this is a safe place for everyone. tell me what runs throw your thoughts, tell me how you came about being who you are. what makes you cry, what fills your heart with joy. what drives you, what paralyzes you with fear, what takes away all those fears, what are your dreams. let me hear your pain and your anger and show me the scars you bare. this is beauty. this is what makes you magnificent. this is what makes you gravitating. what beauty you have hidden from the world, from yourself. you deserve to be seen darling.
♡ comment 🌿 AND TELL ME SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF (like if you're in love, your dreams, your fears, anything really) to be tagged on my next post ♡
“life doesn’t come with a manual, it comes with a mother.” 💕
I can only work and do my best to be Ava’s life manual, to teach her love, kindness, honesty, responsibility, respect, perseverance, gratitude… all those values that once my mom taught me…
but these are hard times to raise a child. our societies are ruled by technology and screens: phones, computers, tables, tv… 🤯📲💻just to mention one of the many parenting challenges we have to face.
I know it’s going to be hard to balance Ava’s screen time and use of technology around her, mostly ‘cause I’m super aware that anything you want your child to do, it's all about modeling the behavior.
so, if you want to limit your child's screen time, think about unplugging yourself!
and for me (us – and I include my husband here) it’s been always a challenge to regulate the time we are on our phones and/or computers😔😖; it’s how we work, how we communicate with our families back home, even how we communicate with each other the whole day while we are away from each other…
I love technology, but it sucks how it competes with parenting and discipline.
I can’t say “I’ll never let Ava use our phones or leave her with an iPad while we are in a restaurant” 🚫📱💻 but I do hope -and will work so- I can manage to limit her screen time as much as possible.
how much time you guys spend on your phones/computers? do you have any rule to limit it? Would love to know if you guys are concern about it or aware at least of the time we all are in front of screens.
