You can’t control what happens to you,
But you can choose how you react to it.
Hello, hello. How’s it going out there, fam? 🤗 I’ve been a bit radio silent lately. We are leaving tomorrow to take Gibson out of state to see a PANDAS/PANS specialist, and it’s waaayyyy more work than I thought it would be getting everyone & everything ready for our first long road trip. 😅 Emotions are also running at 💯. Everyone is nervous, way stressed, and really f**king tired, but we are also so very, very EXCITED! More than anything I want my sweet boy to have some relief. It’s still crazy and shocking to me that we are here, and I hurt when I think of how much his life has changed in 10 weeks. He wants so much to get better. 😞
We have so many of you out there to thank for helping us to get to this DR! We would not be in the position to get Gibson in front of this great doctor without all of the prayers, shares, and donations, and Jon @oneaudioguy and I can’t begin to say thank you enough! He’s going to get help because of all of YOU! Thank you, thank you! #igcommunity 🙌🏻😭😍👊🏻 I’ll try to keep updates coming, though I’ve already been told in need to watch my data use. 🤣 Watch out for those WiFi spams. Haha

• i’m usually not for lengthy captions but honestly i really have to express how grateful and appreciative i am of all my friends/family that support my passions. this past weekend simar and chloe trusted me with their very special day in nyc and i couldn’t be more honored. congratulations to the newly engaged.
Back when I was 23, I wrote a blog post - mostly for myself - called “25 things I’d tell the 25 year old me.”
Point 5 said: By now, you should have said atleast once in your life, “There’s no where else I’d rather be, and nothing else I’d rather be doing.” And meant it.
I guess it probably took me longer than 25 to feel it and live it, to make it not just a one-time thing but my life philosophy... and as I plunged into the cool waters of Lake Atitlan this morning, I felt immensely grateful to be calling this, my life 👣
I won’t lie to you. This path isn’t easy, it certainly isn’t for everyone. There are battles to fight everyday, but when you really want something, even those battles can’t deter you. This might not be the path you dream of, but if you look deep down, there must be some path you dream on. And I can tell you it’s worth chasing, fighting for, even failing. It’s worth trying... because if we never do, we’ll never know. .
I guess it took me longer than 25 to build this life as a digital nomad, but I’m immensely grateful to say, on most days, there’s no where else I’d rather be, and nothing else I’d rather be doing 🙏
And you, what would you tell your future self? .
PS: Linked that old post in my bio, in case you’re curious to read it 😉
