Our friend @colinobrady is on his way to finish his 49th climb and hike the highest peak of Washington, Mt. Rainier. If you are not familiar with his current world-record breaking project, he’s currently on pace to hike 50 highest peaks of each of the 50 states in just 41 days! I haven’t posted for long time, instagram has taken a backseat in my life as I have worked on my headspace and dealt with fracturing 2 vertebrae. However I have had so many DM’s with the same questions that I wanted to share about the journey you see in this picture.
The caption that has been shared around with the pics was unfortunately edited by someone selling a sugar-free program and made it sound like I achieved these results in 3 weeks of no sugar, I wish it was so easy🤩
When I started changing my lifestyle over 5 years ago now, it took well over a year to lose most of the weight - around 35kg /77lbs. I didn’t do any specific diet or exercise program, take pills or have surgery. I tried lots of things.
Generally my body changed the fastest when I stayed under 50grams of carbohydrate a day with a weekly treat meal.
Initially I did group gym classes then 4-5months in I plateaued and got PT sessions to share with a friend and did 1 or 2 hours of high intensity, weights and boxing a week and slow jogging 3km /2miles a few times a week.
It was a year later that I really got muscle tone doing an exercise guide with half hour high intensity training sessions 3 times a week plus 2 sessions of lower intensity walking /yoga type activities.

Okay so what’s your favorite place you’ve ever traveled? I’m getting the itch to get out and explore again! Japan and Mexico City have been my top 2 favorite places by far - incredible food and unique places to shoot are my top priorities. What do you guys recommend? Let me know!

Yesterday morning I watched the #sunrise from the best seat in #Washington, atop a #mountain I never in a million years thought I could #climb. I don’t even know how to put into words what this was like for me. It was such a spiritual experience, and there were so many tears of joy and gratitude. It’s a trip to think I was standing on the summit of Mt Adams just a few months ago staring at #MtRainier and thinking “I’m going to climb that.” Now, thanks to some amazing instructors and the support of the people in my life I can actually look at that beautiful mountain and say I have.
I learned a lot about myself on that mountain. I learned that I am strong and capable of more than I think I am. I learned that I have the ability to open up and trust other people.
