..La belleza es subjetiva. A veces el atractivo de una persona no se basa en su aspecto, sino en el modo en el que te hace reír o en cómo es capaz de leerte la mente..😉

How would you describe your decor?
Since I thrive in chaos I decided it would be best to start a room redo at same time my first born started kindergarten. So in between hysterical crying fits I painted a wall. One by one I am removing the horrible builder grade paint that covers EVERY wall. It’s whiter and brighter and I’m in love. Instead of putting everything back I changed up the decor a little and shopped from within my house creating this minimalistic foyer. I love mixing different elements together to create my own unique style. I am also glad I typically buy things I love that are on sale but I have no where for them because they typically work out somewhere and it allows me to rotate creativity different looks.

2015 OLYMPIA🏅 -VS- NOW
I vowed that being fit and healthy would be a lifetime commitment... not just something I did for competition. The primary reason I started competing was to push my body and mind to all new heights.
When competing started to make me feel like I wasn't fit enough or that I needed to improve on things that I already knew were great, I walked away. It's now been almost 3 years and honestly I couldn't be happier with my decision.

#transformationtuesday One year of re-comp 💪🏽My recent check-in with my coach has me in the feels. He always knows the right thing to say when I need to hear it. Sometimes I think he has more faith in his clients than we do in ourselves! Currently sitting 9 weeks out from my first competition and I finally addressed something that has been bothering me for years, self-sabotage. I told my coach I do my training 100% and my meals are 95% but once a week I go HAM on the food and sabotage all my efforts. He sent me a link to a podcast and I will share it with anyone interested. It really helped me realize the bigger picture of what is going on. The podcast talked about how the major issue is really a lack of appropriate emotional control and that self-sabotage isn’t really real 🤯 The podcast explains how self-sabotage is really just a conflict of goals at the same time with one winning over the other. Say what?? For example.. Here are two specific instances I realized I encounter often. 1. We are at dinner with friends. I have my competition goals but there is also my innate need to feel included and not like the odd one out. This past weekend I ordered off the menu vs taking my own meal to the restaurant because I didn’t want to feel awkward. Instead of canceling, knowing I can’t eat out at this place I went to feel included and satisfy that innate need of being part of the group. Example 2. At home alone and I just say F it and start eating all the sweets and snacks in the house justifying it’s just this once. I have my competition goal but I also in that moment felt the need to eat for comfort. The thought of being on stage or judged on this public platform had me unconsciously seeking comfort so the food goal wins keeping me complacent so I never reach my goal of competing. Anyways..the podcast really resonated with me. I feel empowered having more self-awareness so that I can be more conscious of my surroundings and make better decisions next time the urge is there. Take time to work on your mind and not just your body..You would be amazed at how far you can push yourself once you take the time to master your mindset. It needs work daily 💚
