Doesn’t seem to matter the situation a lot of things seem to end up with food being the answer, and yes food is delicious and to be enjoyed as part of life but having it as your only go to for all situations is a habit its best to break.
When food is used used as your only reward system it can turn into something which can cause issues especially when you’re trying to lose weight.
Part of the fat loss process and getting healthier should be about improving your relationship with food.
You want to get to a point where you know you can enjoy it in all situations but without you feeling the food is controlling you.
👉🏻Food labelling tangent!
Avoid putting any kind of false labels on food ( Clean, dirty, good, bad, reward, cheat the list goes on) isn’t going to help you do this, if anything it just makes things more challenging.
👉🏻What can you do?
Well first of acknowledging that you do always use food as reward system is an important step. -
Well when you are aware of your behaviours it gives you the chance to have more control over them.
You can actually take a step back from the situation and make a decision to do something else instead.
Then over time your automatic reaction, isn’t just to reach for food every time feel you want to celebrate or you’ve done something awesome.
These are a few examples of things you could do but you can litreally use anything you enjoy doing but don’t get to do or allow yourself to do all the time ( watch reality TV, read gossip mags, sit in the bath for an hour) and use these rather than food.
🔥Finally IMO being proactive and making these small changes which are shifting your touche one step closer to your goal is in fact one of the best reward of all. 💅❤
