Delicious meal at the @the_albany In Greenock, cocktail 🍸 game is on point, white Russian game is strong, I also had an espresso martini (STRONG) with a club sandwich and cheesy 🧀 bacon 🐷 fries 🍟 😋 really cool decor and a special entrance which only I'm allowed in because I'm in the club sandwich club. They even kindly turned the cool lights on for us for a snap which added an unfortunate sheen to my recently exfoliated forehead, no @clara.bell.ah isn't pregnant, it's just a food 👶 she had the chicken tika sammich with cheesy bacon bits too 👌 10/10 will return.
How gorgeous are these new @viragopress editions of Alcott's 'Little Women' series? I couldn't resist them! I recently read a great article by Lucy Mangan in the Spectator about Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy, which had me reflecting on which of the girls is my favourite. I think I'd have to go for Jo, although I've got a big soft spot for Meg too. How about you?
ALSO - I'm starting a new little project on this page! I love collecting fun literary facts, which I generally scribble into notebooks, but I thought it would be a good idea to start sharing them here (as close to daily as possible!). I'm starting a hashtag for this: #bibliofunfact
I hope you like this idea, and If you'd like to join in and share your favourite literary facts, then do use the hashtag and tag me in your post, and I'll share my favourites on this account!
With that said, today's #bibliofunfact is: Louisa May Alcott's original title for 'Little Women' was 'The Pathetic Family.' It's not got quite the same ring, does it?! 😂
