Besides providing a stunning backdrop to the city’s historical centre, floating down Amsterdam’s canals is one of the most memorable ways to discover the city's sights and attractions. Whether you’re a first-time or frequent visitor, everything in Amsterdam seems a bit more magical when viewed from a boat.
• PUTTING MY OWN FITNESS FIRST •
I’ll be honest and say this year in general, I have found it really tough to prioritise my own training 🙈. There are so many reasons why, (and I plan to fully go into it in a vlog) but let’s just say...I lost my mojo. And I’m starting to feel the least fit that I have done in a long time.
However, today I made it to the gym (YAY🎉) and the result was this sweaty, messy, happy me in the picture above. I found my warm up weights a struggle and I know I will be feeling the effects tomorrow. But I’m so so SO happy I went, because you just can’t beat that feeling 😅. Now, I just wanted to touch on that...the *feeling*. 👉🏻 When I was working out today, I was chatting to someone and told them how I wasn’t feeling as strong and I missed that.
He replied ‘but you look great though!?’ Now, I completely appreciate that the sentiment was kind but I never mentioned my appearance. And I don’t think we can or should judge someone’s fitness level on their appearance alone. And in the same way, the way they look shouldn’t solely determine whether they want to improve their fitness or not.
I’m at the point now where any aesthetic change in my body is merely a by product. What gets me to the gym, what motivates me to train is the FEELING of power, strength, joy, accomplishment, release and the challenge of what my body can do.
And LOL, if this was meant to be a brief update in a caption, I can’t wait to make this training update Vlog for you 😂. Not good at the short and sweet!

I’ve loved Las Vegas more and more every year I’ve spent here. This city has so much opportunity. I never imagined my life would turn out the way it has when I moved here 8 years ago.
I had a conversation with a friend of mine this morning. He asked me why I responded to a request to do something to help him out so quickly. It wasn’t something major but I had the ability to do it and he didn’t.
I explained to him a theory that I learned from Grant Cardone. It’s goes something like this: if you are going to do something then do it right now. There is no use waiting. If you are going to eventually do something then you might as well do it right now.
I love Grant Cardone because he says things how they are. He says what people need to hear. He rubs some people the wrong way but I related really well to him.
He teaches how we need to take time out of the equation. Once we decide to do something most people wait. They add time to the equation. Adding time blowing the thing out of proportion.
Instead of allowing time to inject fear, hesitation and doubt into your mind, simply take it out of the equation. Take action immediately once you decide to do something.
If you are going to send an email don’t take time to think about it just write the email and send it. If you are going to apply for a job don’t think about it just fill out the application. If you are going to ask someone out don’t wait to ask them out just do it now.
The longer you wait, the more time you add to the equation, the less likely you’ll be to do something. This doesn’t mean you act rashly. It means that you take action immediately once you decide to do something.
Like I explained to my friend who asked for my help, I try to live Grant Cardone’s principle in my life. I take immediate action once I make a decision!
It’s Wednesday, and I have something other than a booty workout for you 😮 I’ve been loving working my shoulders and biceps together- it’s only my second time doing this split but I’ve seen some great results already!
🍁 DB Arnold Press: 4x10
🍁 EZ Bar Biceps Curl: 4x10
🍁 DB Incline Biceps Curl: 3x12
🍁 Cable Front Raises: 3x15
🍁 Cable Leaning Lateral Raises: 3x10
🍁 DB Seated Hammer Curl: 3x12
Quick note: So the cable machines at my new gym start at a much higher weight than I’m used to for leaning lateral raises- I was only able to do 4 reps! 😂 But My workout was written to include 10 reps, which I still recommend for that specific exercise. I just knocked out the three sets at 4 reps because I couldn’t drop my weight any lower.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
