In my experience the approach I’m about to dive into would serve most people, in the long run.
🙋♂️The plate on the left and right are 2 extremes to illustrate a point
👉And the point is; I’ve encountered way too many people that stop before they even start because their limiting belief is that dieting for fat loss means giving up all your favourite foods & drink and eating bland foods only.
😫 Most people's dieting mentality is completely based on cutting out this and cutting out that. Being restrictive and inflexible. Right off the bat they think they need to strive for perfection
🙅♂️The fact is, this is probably one of the worst approaches you could take for most people. When people aim for perfection they tend to mess up and this starts the vicious cycle of feeling guilty and bad about themselves, which can lead to binge eating. This means they undo all their hard work. All this after having suffered through eating stuff they don’t enjoy and not eating & drinking the stuff that they do.
👂Does that sound familiar?
A lot of people would be better served by the middle bottom plate where they cut down on some of their not so ideal food & drink choices and adopt an addition mindset, where they add in nutritious foods such as vegetables 🍅 and fruit 🍉. Eat MORE protein and drink MORE water.
It really can be that simple. By adding more nutritious foods you’ll get more volume and greater fullness. It’s also much more realistic and doable not just for the short-term, but forever.
Another factor is you can't change a lifestyle overnight. You’re going to have to lay down some routines and habits. This takes practice and when you don't try to change too much at the same time, you’re much more likely to succeed.

Saturday skin update. So the last few months I have been having alot of pain. Mentally this has been stressful for me as I wasn't sure what was causing it or wrong with me. However I know my body & after my workouts I noticed a pain mostly in the back of my neck followed by headaches. I have spent alot of time worrying that something may be wrong with me, only to realize it appeared my skin was the culprit. I reached out to a few of my weightloss friends aswell as a few skin surgeons to see if this was common. I found out that loose skin can cause problems as it can weigh heavy on your body and throw off your posture. So I bought a new bra from @victoriassecret to try this week and the pain has been gone except when I dont wear it. That being said, I cannot live in pain. This will help me for now, and I may also try compression clothing, but it appears there will be surgery needed one day in my future. Thank you all for reaching out and checking on me. I hope this will help someone who loses weight in the future as I had no idea. I still love my new body and wouldn't trade my skin for anything, but this is just another chapter in my journey. There is a story that a mother shared about her little boy. There was an old man that was crying next door. When the little boy saw this he walked over to him, and crawled up in his lap. When his mother asked him what he said to the old man he replied, “Nothing I was just helping him cry”. In this self focused world it can sometimes be easy to want to fix people rather than have compassion for them. Facing pain in our lives brings great healing. It’s when the pain is ignored that people continue to suffer. We can learn a lot from this little boy in supporting others. Emotions are necessary for a healthy life. I am facing some of my own personal pain right now and probably the most wonderful thing about it is allowing myself to grieve. Going through the stages of grief isn’t fun but it is often the door to greater happiness. Give yourself the support you need in life to go through tough things. Give the love you so freely give to others. And remember to be like that little boy to yourself and to others
