Embracing Change, The Circle of Life 🌕🍁🌕
We are now experiencing the #fallequinox
There was a time that I used to dread the #fallseason as it reminded me of #lettinggo#fleeting, and #death
I would always experience a #seasonaldepression around this time of year and I absolutely dreaded the #darkness of wintertime.
Throughout the years I’ve learned to work through those feelings and to embrace the idea of change.
I started to see the #fall as a reminder of #lifecycles and the #universal#lawsofnature
I started to see it all as a #circle and in this circle I begin to understand that I was the #centerofmyworld the center of my own universe and that all things were created by my own energy.
So I began to appreciate the cycles of #lifeanddeath knowing that we are here for a journey to get to know ourselves over and over again.
Instead of fighting with it, I began to #move with the #rhythm while understanding my own rhythm. 💫🍁💫
I call the #hulahoop the #medicinewheel as my movements in my circle became my medicine.
I practiced taking several doses of this medicine until it became a meditation practice of mindfulness. I then added the connection to my #womb and #sensuality
And then I disappeared into a world of enchantment through my favorite #soulful music. 🍂
This is my Life, My Practice, My Medicine that I am honored to share and take a journey with all of you.

It seems to me that the natural world is the greatest source of excitement; the greatest source of visual beauty; the greatest source of intellectual interest. It is the greatest source of so much in life that makes life worth living. – David Attenborough 🌲

Event 8 Recap: You ever see a Water Cheetah in action? Haha spoiler alert- I’m not one😂. Madison Triplus- Swim, Paddleboard, Run. This was the first event Saturday morning. Swimming, running, & general endurance work aren’t my strengths. But I was still eager to see if I could hang in there. I came off the swim at the back of the pack. I ended up catching a few people on the paddleboard though.
Going into the run was the fun part. I saw @quany_quan 20sec ahead & I decided to gun it at the start of the run to pass him. I did. Then, about a minute later he passed me back. I said “Come on mannnn” as he ran by haha. My theory was this for pushing the run so early: Ever been in a workout where someone is 2 rounds ahead & it kind of defeats you so you subconsciously slow down? Ever been in a workout where you’re a half round behind & it energizes you so you speed up to try to catch them? I knew he was a good runner so I tried to bluff essentially- tried making him think I was going to hold that pace the entire time so he’d slow down once I got ahead a bit. Well - it didn’t work haha but it made for a fun race as he beat me by 8sec. 34th Place & was proud of my effort.
PS- If you want pictures of actual Water Cheetahs go to @tiaclair1 & @kristieramo pages. They beat the entire women’s AND men’s field in the event👀. @crossfitgames
