Plaid jacket, cozy boots + a large coffee. Doesn’t take much to make this PNW girl happy 🍁 (but a kid-free shower always helps)
This jacket is probably one of my favorite buys all year. SO cute and it actually keeps me really warm even while out in 40 degree weather! Also, these jeans are only $25 🙌🏼 You can shop all my looks, including my ridiculous @sorelfootwear collection 😜, by following me on the @liketoknow.it app or heading over to kindavoguish.com! http://liketk.it/2ydxB #liketkit
When life gives you lemons, make LEMONADE! Today we participated in the Boys Town Integrity Challenge with the day 8 challenge of teaching optimism to our two oldest children. (Swipe to continue the video) Every day offers super fun ways to teach your children about integrity but I think today made the biggest impact. We taught the girls that it's better to be optimistic and look at the bright side of things just as a lemon goes from sour to sweet with just a little help! Go visit @BoysTownVillage to learn more about the #integritychallenge or follow the link in my bio for more! #boystownparenting#ad

🦹🏼♀️ Purple people eater leotard by me
Think of a challenge. This could be something positive like a new baby, a cross country move, or a new job. It could also be something negative like a job loss, the end of a relationship, or a health diagnosis. Now, here’s the question: What allowed you to effectively address that challenge?
I started asking this simple but important question of people years ago. What’s come out of my interviews, is a deeper understanding of, when faced with challenge, what makes people resilient.
When I looked closely at the data, I found five behaviors that allow people to more effectively deal with challenge. These are what I call The Five Practices of Particularly Resilient People.
One of the Practices of Resilient People is Productive Perseverance - people who are most resilient know when and how to intelligently pursue a goal. They know when to maintain the mission, and when, returns are diminishing, to pivot to a new path.
Tell me about your perseverance. Was there a time you pursued a goal with all your heart, even though it seemed impossible? What happened? Was there a time you realized your efforts would not be rewarded, and you changed your direction?
I’d love to hear about your experience!
