One of many historic districts in Newport is the Kay-Catherine district, developed residentially from about 1830-1890 during Newport’s major growth spurt as a summer resort. I had the pleasure of staying @gildedhotel last week, a @larkhotels boutique hotel, situated in the district in a renovated 1880 residence. It is central to all the action yet located on a quiet side street steps away from all Newport has to offer. Its interior is a playful homage to the excess of the gilded age, with bold jewel tones and plentiful gold accents. Swipe to see a selection of interior shots! Also, give @larkhotels a follow - I will be taking over their Stories tomorrow! #newportri#onalark (Sponsored. Full disclosure: exterior photo is not Gilded but another residence in the district. Gilded was undergoing some exterior repairs during my stay).
