Consistency > perfection is truly SO🔑
It may be Monday, but some of y’all may feel like you weren’t “perfect” with your nutrition or training targets over the weekend. Hey, it happens to just about EVERYONE! You say you don’t want that to ruin your ability to succeed ultimately towards your fitness or aesthetic goals? Ok, then DON’T. Seriously. Don’t let the imperfections over a short time make you feel like you should throw in the towel! Refocusing and getting back to it is wayyyy more effective than quitting altogether and wasting negative mental energy beating yourself up. Then you’re just extra sad and feel extra crappy and have little to show for it. Just as you won’t build your dream physique in two days, it’s honestly damn near impossible to do lasting major setbacks from a few days “off” plan. #YayScience 🤓 I’m not saying you should make a point of slacking, but I’m human and I know I’m far from perfect every day. The thing is: I don’t dwell on it and I get back to 💯 adherence ASAFP. And hey, life’s working out A-OK! So, my advice: pick yourself up, be patient with yourself, move forward & move ON! #ShitWillBuffOut#GetBackOnIt#GetOuttaYourHead#RantOver ✌️

‘ALL THAT MAN IS - Fashion and Masculinity Now’ 🔥 An exhibition curated by @chiaranonino at @base_milano which will explore the concept of manhood by showing how contemporary photographers are addressing the subject 👉 #PHOTOVOGUEFESTIVAL 👉 From Thursday November 15th to Sunday November 18th ✨ Free entrance - You’re all invited!
Today we introduce Andrea Robbins and Max Becher ‘s work on display - ‘Black Cowboys: Kareem, Harlem Block Party, NY, NY, 2009’ ✨For the show, we asked the exhibited photographers 🔮 ‘What does it mean to be a man today?’ 👉 ‘The cowboy, one of America’s most enduring and masculine cultural icons, is identified with the white gunslinger in the popular imagination. However, at the height of the nineteenth century over one-third of cowboys were African American. Black cowboy culture has continued to thrive across the United States yet remains largely unknown to the general public. Black cowboys (and cowgirls) participate in national rodeos, trail rides, and reunions that celebrate a proud history and reinforce family ties. Fashions include styles made famous in westerns, but also incorporate elements of soul and hip hop that are constantly evolving. Black riding clubs host annual trail rides in which horseback riders and horse-drawn wagons solicit attention, snaking through country roads and along busy city streets. But the tenacity of this image is negated as novelty because it conflicts with pervasive negative stereotypes of the Black American male. Many could otherwise be mistaken for the famous Marlborough man, if not for this stereotype which causes them to be seen and then unseen. In this case the power of change is in the eyes of the spectator.’ #AndreaRobbins#MaxBecher
