Can a 10-2 Michigan team, with a loss to OSU go to the playoffs? The answer is Yes, but with some help. - Sounds bizarre right? A 10-2 Michigan team in the playoffs marking the first 2 loss playoff team ever? with a loss to OSU and ND. Well there is actually a scenario that puts Michigan in the playoff's with 2 losses, granted the chances are nearly 0.001, there is still a chance. - Saturday Ohio State will play Maryland, IF OSU were to lose this game to Maryland and assuming Michigan slaps Indiana, Michigan is automatically in the BIG TEN Championship. So if Michigan went and put a good fight on the ROAD to OSU and let's say lost by 1-2 points, they would drop a little considering that both there losses are to Rivals, on the road and had barely lost both games. You would need ND to win out, and have Alabama beat Georgia, which knocks them out of the equation. Now you're looking at Alabama and ND with sure spot's, that only leaves Clemson. You would need Clemson to drop 2 games, one in conference play, and one in the ACC Champ. - That would leave Michigan and Clemson with two losses, Michigan would be a Conference Champion predicting they beat NW, they would have edge vs Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, West Virginia/Oklahoma. Well you may say well either Oklahoma or WVU will have 1 loss, well lmao you need either one to lose in the conference before the champ, then win their champ. - As you can tell the chances are so so slim, but it is still a chance and nearing late November anything is possible. We have had some crazy scenarios that we all thought were long shots but played out. I think this situation is nearly impossible and wouldn't happen but hey, you never know. I ran out of ideas today and just wanted to rant on something, I know this must be pretty damn long and I apologize for that, but if you stuck around and read the whole thing comment "nut.. no homo" so others are suss. - What are your takes on this? I assume probably not gonna happen and I am sure there are some OSU/ND/MSU fans who will have strong opinions. I just want to say that your opinion is valid on the page and that dont be a dick about in the comments.
