Another new book is headed to the printer. This is the Second Edition of a beautiful book by Pulitzer Prize winning photographer Jack Dykinga. Wanna go there again 😍

This trash was collected on small beach in Miami, providing a microcosmic view of the consequences of our disposable society. Thousands of beaches around the world look the same or worse than this one.
Every day in the US alone, 500 million plastic straws are used and discarded. Americans use 50 billion plastic water bottles and 100 billion plastic bags each year, requiring a total of nearly 30 million barrels of oil to manufacture - and that's just in the US! The average American throws away approximately 185 lbs of plastic and a total of about 1600 lbs of waste a year. In 2013, Americans generated about 254 million tons of trash, while recycling only 34.3% of all recyclable items.
Human convenience has replaced sustainability and logic. Although most of us don't see the mounting landfills and garbage choked gyres swirling around the ocean, the effects of unconscious consumerism are very real, and they are quite literally killing us. Each time we get a cup of coffee, go to the grocery store or reach for a sip of water, we can make a conscious decision to be stewards for this planet and all its inhabitants. By purchasing or repurposing durable products, you can avoid tens of thousands of pounds of single use waste throughout your lifetime.
Currently, the ocean's 5 major gyres are filled with trash ranging from syringes to tires and everything in between. It is estimated that between 4.8 and 12.7 metric tons of plastic waste goes into the ocean every single year. It is likely that by 2050, the world's oceans will contain more plastic by weight than fish (due in part to the devastating effects of fishing). Unless people drastically reduce consumption rates and/or waste management practices improve, marine debris will be an exacerbated global issue threatening wildlife, human health and the future of this planet.
Please shop consciously and remember, there are consequences to our consumerism. There aren't laser beams that transform garbage into rays of sunshine (at least not yet). Swap single use for sustainable, reusable alternatives and get active in your community to fight for a healthier planet. #StrawsSuck#BagsBlow#FilthyFriday#ConsciousConsumerism
kak, gimana sih cara 'ngebunuh' seseorang?
caranya... say "hello" ke dia, masuk ke dalam hidupnya.
ucapin nice "morning" dan "sleeptight" tiap malam nya.
ajak dia jalan. buat dia ketawa seharian.
ngobrol, chatingan sama dia sampe larut malam.
terus, genggam tangan nya...
tatap mata nya... buat dia ngerasa kalau dia itu spesial dengan terus kasih dia kabar...
tapi setelah itu... pergi.
jangan pernah kasih ucapan "pagi", bahkan "hai" sekalipun.
berhenti kasih dia kabar.
buat dia nunggu lo. buat dia kehilangan lo.
jangan pernah genggam tangan dia lagi,
bahkan untuk bertemu lagi.
jangan izinkan dia ketemu sama lo lagi.
jangan anggap dia ada.
anggap semua yang lo ucapin itu bohong.
terus berjalan menjauh.
dan lihat, lo berhasil.
lo berhasil "bunuh" dia...
lo berhasil bikin dia nangis,
nungguin kabar lo,
dan wasting time buat sedihin lo...
you weren't supposed to stay dalam hidup dia.
dan mungkin aja..
saat dia udah membaik...
sooner or later,
justru lo yang akan nyariin dia.. lo nggak tau,
siapapun nggak tau,
intinya saat lo nyakitin seseorang
cepat atau lambat,
lo bakal rasain sakit yang sama.
pikir dua kali kalau mau datang untuk ngehancurin hidup seseorang 🙂
It’s too early, way too early before sunrise
I look at myself in the mirror
Way too pale
Running away from some sleep as the nightmare always come
I look at myself in the mirror
Way too confused
Between black and white, and the shadow behind my blankets
Where are you ?

It seems like most of the boy shirts you see in mainstream stores have to do with sports. BASEBALL! FOOTBALL! SOCCER! Lots of them have toxic messages attached, like “Second place is first loser.” Well, we’d rather raise the MVPs of Team Love.
