"Ok, here we go.."
We've been big fans of a lot of the art and colors we see on surfboards now days. We see a lot of really cool paint and resin coloring on the deck of boards, but can't quite understand all the dark coloring on the most exposed surface of the board. This is clearly a fashion aspect of the surfboard, but not best for function. Aside from melting wax, the extra heat can actually damage your surfboard causing de-lamination and premature degradation, leaving you with some cool looking, yet failed equipment. This doesn't mean we won't spray an all black board if the customer wants, but we'll try to lend some friendly advice if they're open to hearing it. We take great pride in building custom surfboard, yet it's a fine line between building exactly what the customer wants, and preserving the integrity of our products from a functional standpoint. Needless to say, we're happy to color any board any color, and it sure is nice when the colors make sense.
