Hello everyone! My name is Nathan and I’m an amatuer photographer with a passion for astronomy located in Albury, Australia. Albury is located in the Riverina region of New South Wales and so I’m lucky to be near very dark skies which is great for stargazing and astrophotography.
Huge thanks to Fraser from @universetoday for letting me share a few of my favourite images with you all. If you like what you see feel free to follow me at @archioptic
I apologise in advance if it takes me some time to respond to any comments due to the time zones!
I’ve always had an interest in astronomy so when I found out that amateur astronomers were taking pictures of galaxies and nebula from their backyard it blew my mind. Ever since then I’ve been hooked. For anyone interested in getting in to this hobby the online communities are filled with incredibly talented and patient experts who are always willing to help beginners.
First up is an image I shot in February of the Large Magellanic Cloud. Living in the Southern Hemisphere means this super bright galaxy is a familiar part of my night sky. The LMC is a satellite galaxy of our Milky Way and sits near its companion dwarf galaxy the Small Magellanic Cloud. The bright blue nebulosity on the right of the LMC is the Tarantula Nebula. This nebula is roughly 600LY across and 160,000LY away. If it were as close to us as the Orion Nebula is (1,344LY) it would take up the same area in the sky as 60 full moons which should give you some sense of how truly massive it is.

Going to the chapel and we’re gonna get maaaaarried. 🎵⛪️ No, not me, even though I am in all white. But, a friend’s wedding is on the agenda later today, and I had to first share this all white look with you. This silk lace cami is a crazy good price and a great closet essential. I have it in black as well, and sized up to a medium. Anyone else a big fan of wearing white on white? 🙋🏻♀️ Shop this look by clicking the link in my bio OR by taking a screenshot of this picture and uploading it into your free @liketoknow.it app. http://liketk.it/2vsGA
İn Laos, the buddhist students and monks are different from the other buddhist countries ( Forexample Tayland & Cambio) They are also in daily life too.. and work. They work on constructions as workers, they wash their cloths in the river, they go downtown buy everything they need.
İn Laos there is no beggar, no rich people, no homeless people. At least I haven't seen :)) ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
