It's #TransformationTuesday. Switching it up today. Not just showing a generic before & after, which is fun to look at, but let's be real.. it's just always sorta the same since I'm not really in a "losing" phase.
A look back at my journey as a whole. 👇
- I started in January 2015 @ 325lbs. I got down to 159.4lbs at the end of 2015. It was my lowest weight. But I wasn't really happy. I was struggling hard mentally with loose skin. But I still was in this mindset to lose lose lose. I was caught up in seeing the lowest number possible. Weighing not only every day, but multiple times a day. I was eating around 1000 calories a day at that point, no carbs really, 1-1.5 hrs of cardio a day. Between mentally struggling with loose skin, body dysmorphia & the restriction.. I wasn't really in a great place. I found myself back up to 198lbs in 2016 because I pretty much had a fuck it mentality at times with my diet. (It was like.. if I didn't like what I saw anyways, why diet myself crazy?) I'd either be strict as heck or go absolutely nuts. I realized I couldn't continue down that road. I started the process of looking into skin removal surgery. Instead of cutting calories & carbs, I started having a more balanced approach to eating. I had to rewire myself completely. I got back down to 175lbs come skin removal surgery time in September 2017.
- Right now I am maintaining my weight around 165-170lbs. I definitely could stand to lose a few more lbs, sure. I've still got excess fat, loose skin, etc. But I'm comfortable where I am & above all else, HAPPY. I have a better relationship with food, I very rarely weigh myself. It's been almost 3.5 years since I made a change to my life & I'm still learning. It's a life long journey. Truly it is. So don't think you have to have it all figured it out in the beginning.
