All natural, totally casual, just your run of the mill day in Venice. 💁🏽♀️ Thank you @stefanodegirmenci for introducing us to this beautiful city. Not only a badass photographer, but so fun to spend time with and taught us all about “American Pizza” while we stuffed our faces and drank wine. If you’re going to Venice, look into booking him through @airbnbexperiences!! PS- Nick’s a trooper for listening to hours of photography talk and graciously being the subject of a photo shoot in the middle of town. 😘
This one goes out to all of my single af photographers. I feel like we’re such a rare breed?! I spend my weekends and evenings with couples so ridiculously head over heels in love and I always end each session going home to just me myself and I. You’d think that the contrast would make me feel sad or disappointed — like I’m missing something in my own life. But honestly.... it doesn’t. It makes me hopeful and excited. Hopeful that one day I’ll find someone who lights up my life and excited to meet my person and start sharing my life with them. Being with my couples shows me that I shouldn’t settle for anything or anybody that doesn’t make me want to burst with happiness. Anybody relate?!
Feeling extra grateful this morning for all of my amazing clients I’ve met so far this year ✨ I feel myself growing as a photographer with every session and every wedding, and that’s all thanks to my clients trusting my creative process. I finally feel like I’m getting to the point that I’ve wanted to be at for so long, and the support of YOU guys is what keeps pushing me 💞
Recently I had a client write a review about me capturing their wedding and I sobbed... She wrote: “Mary Has an amazing eye for the moments in life that you want to capture and last forever. She was attentive, courteous, and very professional while using her creativity and heart to produce great images.” .
You guys 😭 THIS. 👆🏻 .
As a photographer, it is my job to capture those exact moments... the moments you want to hold onto, the ones you wish lasted forever. And so much of my heart is wrapped up in creating an experience where my couples not only enjoy each moment and love their photos, but feel cared for. I love to serve. And on a wedding day, my job and the way I serve can take on a multitude of forms (hairstylist, seamstress, comedian, bouquet & wine holder, chauffeur, encourager). So, when a client sees that heart and work, and LOVES the outcome, it means the world (and basically leaves me in a hot mess of tears every time)!! .
I love what I do, and I can’t put into words how grateful I am that my couples trust me with something so special like capturing their wedding day. So thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for inviting me into the biggest days of your life and letting me live in the beautiful love you share!
Out of all the images from this session, this one stops me in my tracks. For me, boudoir is more about empowering women — and creating a space for them to be comfortable in their own skin — than it is about anything else. It’s about you. It’s about loving yourself.
LOVE YOURSELF FIRST
All smiles for Sara and Dani’s intimate elopement in the woods. They joined their daughters into one family in this joyous and sacred ceremony. I loved working alongside @theilenphotography and @chair7films and flowers by @twine_and_dandy you all made this day amazing ❤️ Photos by @theilenphotography
