The thing about living in New York is everything you own either serves a purpose or means something to you. There just isn’t space in a New York apartment for anything extra. •
We’ve been trying to take this thought and apply it to our daily lives. What is actually important to us? What serves a purpose in our lives? Those things are the ones we want to hold dear and we are ok with getting rid of the rest. •
The bookshelf was a gift from Tay’s mom when he got his first place and we now use it for our glassware. The peacock lamp was one of Shane’s antique store finds before we met. We collected the stones on our walk along Cape Cod. The large photograph was a gift from @christopherbjensen022 (Tay’s fairy gay-father) and the art is by one of our favorite artists @jonathan_kent_adams •
It’s nice to look around our house and know that everything has a story. Hopefully we will look back on our lives and know that everything we did was with purpose and everything we had meant something to us.
