#IReportedIt#EasterSunday#April16#2017 The day I reported my #2007 rape was two days after a conversation with Abby Lofberg that made me shake for two days because it was a rude surprise. No one holds your hand. It should have been undeniable, and well within reason. I would have to be completely insane to make up a story like that and call the Newport police ten years later. What is beyond reason within a civilized society is to ignore, undermine, and disregard my rape. What is beyond reason is to shame me even more by not respecting me enough to witness, to give me a rape advocate, after its well-known that rape victims struggle to function & get pushed out of their towns, careers, & social circles. Text book: fight or flight, introvert/extrovert, sensitivities, location- street/park/stranger or residential. If it’s in your social sphere, victims tend not to report. If it’s an event like a wedding, you could imagine how hard it would be to report it. Unless unconscious, ppl always know when they’ve been raped, & the rapists always know that they raped them. Truth serum would be nice. I would like to hear about their acting skills. I would like to know what happenedx2.
While in DC a couple weeks ago, we had the opportunity to visit my Granddaddy’s grave. I had not been there since his funeral and burial 10 years ago. Arlington National Cemetery is such a sacred space with so many military servicemen and women buried there - some of whom gave their life for our country. 🇺🇸 This was a special moment for our Porter Francis to “meet” his great-grandfather, who he was named after and with whom he shares a birthday! #april16#porterfrancis#francisjsamaha#generations
