He’s not too sure about the stall guard but everything must be edible in his world so he chews it 😋 I can’t believe how dainty his little head is. I see him every day and I feel like I never notice how tiny he is 😂 #arabhorse#arabianhorse#blackarabian#egyptianarabian
Meet Ally and Amira 🌱
Ally is a 17 year old Egyptian Arabian mare and her foal, Amira, is an eight month old Quarab filly (last two photos).
These two rescues are the newest arrival for our ranch. Ally and her filly Amira have had a tough time as of late and came to us in horrid shape. They had been left at an abandoned boarding facility that went under and had no funds to care or feed any of their equines. Ally had starved to the point where she is at now and Amira continues to feed off of momma which continues to deplete the mare.
Hearing that Ally had an eight month old filly, we had to help them both out and added them to our family. They both came in two days ago and Ally is on a special feeding schedule to try to put more weight on her. Though that may not bring her out of the woods yet. After having our vet come out to check up on both mother and foal, we have strong concerns that Ally may have cancer and if that is the case we will have to put her down for her own sake and to put her life at ease.
We hope that it is all just over speculated and tests are going to be done this week. Please pray for good results as we would hate to loose Ally just as we got to her and for Amira to loose her momma. We will continue to do our best and to rehabilitate them both, in the mean time Amira has a lot to catch up on as this eight month old filly has never been handled in her life.
