Last year, we laced up our hiking boots, stuffed our 🎒 with lots of water and TRAIL FOOD, and hiked all over Arches National Park. ⛺️ What’s your favorite National Park? Check the profile link a HIKING GUIDE for @archesnps 👆🏻
Oh Moab! Where do I even begin? I just...love the shit out of it, that’s all. So simple. Best part is, you’re only a few sweet hours from Telluride. Looking forward to the women’s circle tonight at @tellurideyogacenter, this evening 8-9p...full moon 🌝 post equinox...yes please! #chAngeofseasons
THE WINDOWS TRAIL
Also known as the Spectacles, two arches stand side by side, though separated by some distance, cut from the same sandstone fin. A large “nose” separates the Spectacle arches visually from the southwest, made of a gigantic fin remnant over 100 feet wide.
Directly southwest of the Windows sits Turret Arch (where I shot the Milky Way that night) with its vigilant tower standing beside. The whole Windows area is full of unique and captivating stone formations, with many arches among them.
I shot only one window of the 'Spectacles' in this photo. I liked the way the steps led to the opening in the arch. This was at sunrise...the clouds looked promising and I was hoping to capture some color within the opening of the arch. But for a small piece of cloud.... However the clouds to the right of the shot did not disappoint.
I am still in awe of this whole region of Utah...the Arches National Park in Moab!
