Terrace BC smells, looks and feels wild. A region carved by the immense power of the ocean, awe-inspiring glaciers and a hidden fault line, the landscape here is distinct. A mixture of coastal and interior rainforest coats the valley, breaking only for the nearby Skeena and Kitsumkalum waterways. Following the Skeena River via railcar we arrived in Terrace to continue or Northern BC ski journey. Read more on @snowseekers, link in bio.

"Confidence and enjoyment in ice climbing really start with knowing where and how to swing and kick effectively. Solid feet and tools=solid climbing. @jocelynsuh and @jamesklapp both made huge improvements in understanding ice movement the last two days, thanks for the stoke! Both feet level, arms or legs bent but not both bent at the same time, swing with elbow high, hips in to swing and out to kick, hinge at hip AND knee, go up like a machine. The best non-climbing drill I’ve ever heard of for learning to swing well came from @wfmft: hang locked off from one tool while pounding big-ass nails with the other tool. If you can do that ice climbing is not going to pose a strength problem. This shot was taken yesterday at the top of Moonlight, in Evan Thomas Creek. There’s now a gps track to follow in the Ice and Mixed App. Thanks to everyone who has sent tracks in! #iceandmixedapp#sterlingropes love the orange Nano!#scarpana#blackdiamond#arcteryx
