I've had many requests about jumbo blankets and the pricing of them. Since knowledge is power, I wanted you to be able to make an informed decision when purchasing hand made goods.
When it comes to these blankets, you have two options of yarn: merino wool, which costs around 44$/lbs, or acrylic, as seen in picture, which costs about 20$/lbs. In order to have the best quality-price ratio for you, and to be able to at least cover all material costs on my end, I've priced them at 120$ + (starting size is 38"x39"). What you see in chain stores is often half the price, and costs a fraction of that to make, and its hard to compete with those prices. I completely understand if these do not fall in your budget, but maybe knowing that you're supporting not one, but two small companies (I source my yarn for these blankets from a small store in Chicago) will perhaps sway your mind.
As much as I want to please all of you and offer you the least expensive options, I've realized that I'm not doing anyone any favours, especially not at my own expense.
Thank you for your understanding 💜
