Merda d' Artista (1961) Piero Manzoni (1933-1963)
Whatya think about my articuno/arcanine inspired hippogriff-beasty?
Lately, my friend and housemate (and what not?) developed the habit to steal one of her friends' phone and go to a website to make Pokemon fusions, so he and I can guess which Pokemon are combined. (And he takes her phone, so I am the only one using my own phone ... talk about being the third wheel)
It's quite fun though, since my friend barely knows any (she found a pokemon with a red shield and black eyes cute; she basically mixed cyndaquil and sandslash), her friend knows basically all of them and I am caught in the middle with knowing their looks and evolutions but not their names.
“A discovery that will change how Michelangelo is considered for evermore”.
Working as part of an interdisciplinary team, our painstaking research evidence at last confirms the ‘Rothschild Bronzes’ to be Michelangelo‘s only surviving creations in bronze. Such a great experience to contribute to this huge project, and exciting to see so much interest at Wednesday’s launch!
The new book, ‘Michelangelo: A Sculptor in Bronze’, is the first account of Michelangelo’s work in bronze, published by @i.b.tauris @bloomsburypublishing - a fascinating intersection of art history, anatomy, conservation science, technology and analytical bronze casting.
This has certainly been a very busy year. Well, actually two years. Two moves across the country, new and exciting outlets for my art. I’m grateful for all of my hours in my studio and for everyone who has supported and continues to support my art. Thank you ♥️♥️♥️ I’m here sitting in front of one of my favorites, Heart And Soul, it’s available on my website. If you haven’t already, log onto my website (faithtaylor.com) and sign up for my emails. I have a feeling a sale is happening soon 😉 and you’ll want to be the first to know!
Expectations and it's effect on Health and Adversity in the workplace.
Thought I write this out for those who need assurance as artists. But also my viewpoint on this subject little bit of venting but supportive.
On a Health note:
Life sucks when your a artist and your arms flare up!
Having a pre-existing condition with nerve/tendon pain plus juggling assignments as of late makes the tendon monster angry.
For me its currently not completely inflammed, painful tho! I gotta be super careful not to make my arm scream fire or hurt myself as I'm still healing!
Ive been trying to stay afloat with college life even with health support accomadations its tough. Especially against the adversity of expectations and deadlines that follow. Unknowingly Alot of people just act as though it's a normality to push through workloads on a day to day basis.
Ever since last year, I've come to realize that's not the case. Your well being and health is important. I've begun to push others out of this persona. Health is a priority and excessive crunch time is not a healthy mentality to adopt especially when it becomes a expectation.
I realized things happen in life and sometimes, it's not even our fault. Having some of the best time management can still put you at a burden against things we come across in life. Its inevitable. Never belittle yourself.
As artists we face this chaotic balance of expectations. Don't ever let yourself succumb to manipulation. Your time and effort is worthwhile. Respect your well being and listen to your body.
Validation is a self endeavor , Acceptance and Pursuit come from within! ;D
