Me at every holiday event all season long🤦🏼♀️🙃 Let’s talk about stress and skin. Stress and anxiety can affect your whole body, this means your skin too. Stress causes a chemical response in your body that makes skin more sensitive and reactive. Beyond affecting the skin's surface(aka your appearance) stress can also make an impact on a cellular level. It all has to do with telomeres, the protective "caps" found at each end of a chromosome that preserve DNA. Over time, these telomeres naturally shorten, which can cause cellular damage and bring on the signs of aging (like the dreaded fine lines and wrinkles😱). Anxiety and stress can speed up this process. There is a strong correlation between shortened telomeres and stress. If that’s not scary enough, have you ever noticed that you break out more when you’re stressed? This is because stress causes your body to make hormones like cortisol, which tells glands in your skin to make more oil. Oily skin can potentially cause more breakouts. Psychological stress can also slow down the skins natural healing cycle so you’ll be stuck with your breakouts even longer! Since stress is a part of life, especially during the holidays, the best we can do is manage it! Hydration, deep breathing exercises and of course pampering yourself with a visit to your esthetician are all ways to ensure you’ll be glowing under the mistletoe🎄
This is a before and after to showcase what double drawn hair looks like verses single drawn. The hair I supply is thick from tip to end so you don’t have to cut off inches to have a thick perimeter. I trimmed this clients hair then toned with blue shampoo and forgot to take the finishing look 🙀🙀🙄...but u can see what double drawn ends look like prior to cutting.
@sedonahopley is like a modern day Cinderella here. 👸I used my favorite leave in at the moment called Vitamist by @usemehair to condition and then the Wave + Curl Cream during her blow dry allowing me to smooth the cuticle and add shine prior to curling her hair with a 1inch iron. Isn’t she gorgeous!?
JUICY VOLUME 👄 It’d been over a year since this client’s last lip filler treatment & it was my first time treating her. Correcting her uneven top lip gave her a much prettier pout!

I lost 10 years in 20 minutes🤭 Let’s talk about #microcurrent ⚡️⚡️A microcurrent facial emits extremely low-voltage electrical currents (hence ‘micro’ current), which mirror your own body’s electrical currents, on a cellular level to repair damaged skin and stimulate collagen and elastin production. The intensity is so slight that it would take one million microcurrent machines to light a 40-watt light bulb. This treatment is often referred to as “facial toning” because it’s like a workout for your face, whereby skin cells are broken down and then grow back stronger, the same way your muscles do after lifting weights. According to studies, a microcurrent facial can increase collagen production up to 14%, elastin increases 48% and blood circulation goes up 38%. I think the before and after says it all! Best of all microcurrent is quick, non-invasive and requires zero downtime!
Ever since we met and discovered that we both went to school in Arizona, Phil and I have been planning a trip to the desert. Although we are rivals (Go Sun Devils!), we know how much our college towns mean to each other and when sharing stories really do have a lot in common. This past weekend we finally drove out and loved every second of our campus tours, a football game, delicious meals, and visiting a few friends. Check out all the details today OTB with a few tips for how to do Tucson and Phoenix right!
