Highlights of Pro Athletes 🏀 @NguyenStefan @TimWaale & David Arnold going through some off-season testing & a #PPCpillars foundations 🏋️♂️ sesh.
Going through PPC’s testing protocols & using a variety of tools we are able to measure numbers for sport related KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators).
Some examples of KPI’s for 🏀👇
▪️Short contact lateral hops (ankle stiffness)
▪️RSI - Reactive Strength Index or “bounce” 🐰
▪️Vertical Jump w/ & w/out arm swing & Counter-Movement (ability to produce ⬆️ Power in different ways)
▪️Lateral speed/Change Of Direction
▪️Single Leg vs Double Leg power production & imbalances
Testing accomplishes 2 important things:
1️⃣Measure Progress which ⬆️ buy-in & engagement
2️⃣In the unfortunate event of an injury, gives the athlete baseline numbers which can be used as part of a holistic Return To Play strategy

The former: needed for producing force and accelerating (aka sprinting), getting low and playing smaller, heavily dependent on hamstrings and abs. Note the leaning torso
The latter: needed for slowing down and change of direction (aka turning a corner), getting tall and playing bigger, heavily dependent on quads and lower back. Note the upright posture
