A beautiful clear autumn morning. Such a different view of the studio in the same snowy outlook posted only 10 days ago! With long sedentary days spent in the studio preparing works for upcoming shows and commissions, I am trying to get out into the garden for short intervals through the day to recharge inspiration, mind and body.
There are many garden jobs waiting for attention...10 minutes here and there will at least get them underway and begin to prepare the garden for the long winter rest. The cold winters are a welcome pause, an opportunity to gather thoughts and energy for a couple of months before spring preparation begins in ernest in August. Then roses are pruned, perennials cut back and the family enlisted to cart the many loads of trimmings away. Welcome driving practice up the paddock for my 14 year old in the old farm ute!
Newtown Garden Market spent a fabulous day out for team building in the gorgeous southern highlands yesterday. We’d like to extend our thanks to #redcowfarm @ali_mentesh for welcoming us onto their absolutely magical property. And a huge thanks to our owner Dave for piloting our bus around all day, spoiling us with many treats and stunning landscapes- what a guy!
Open for business as usual today. See you in the nursery! #southernhighlands#bowral#mittagong#autumncolours#newtowngardenmarket#teambuilding
