This one plays with the low ABV template I introduced back in November in my post featuring the “Lo, Logroni!”
1 oz Seedlip Spice 94
1 oz fino sherry
1 oz chilled lapsang souchong tea
1 oz Stirrings Blood Orange Bitters Mixer
—Build in tumbler with cracked ice. Stir to combine. Garnish with grapefruit wedge—
Clocking in at only 3-4% ABV with dilution, it brings complexity to your palate without all the booze. You can expect smoky earthy tones from the tea, minerality from the sherry, a solid aromatic backbone from the Seedlip Spice and a fruity bitterness from the Stirrings to round things out. •
If you’d like a completely zero proof option, omit the fino sherry, increase the Seedlip and tea portions to 1½ oz each, and add a pinch of sea salt or 10 drops saline solution (I use an 8:1).

People often ask me if I have a “go-to drink” and the answer is no. However, I’ve started to realize a lot of my cocktails at home involve Tequila. So I guess my go to spirit might be Mezcal and or Tequila. But I truly love everything. Vodka, being my least favorite but I still drink it. .
