On the left: The moment after I crossed the finish line after completing my first EVER Mankato Marathon. There was an incredible amount of time and training that went into make that goal of mine possible! Hours were spent on the weekends hitting the pavement and running for over 10 miles. It reminds me that no matter what goals we’re trying to accomplish you can’t rush the process and you must stay consistent and put the work in.
I love all of my rockstar runners out there and one day, I hope to maybe do a 10K or a half.... But after completing another marathon a few years after this was taken, I wanted to find something that was sustainable, that didn’t require hours and hours of training, that didn’t cause pain to my already sore knees. I wanted to create a healthy lifestyle that included variety but was still challenging. I wanted to find something that was FUN and that I looked forward to doing everyday and I found it!
On the right: The moment after I finished my 25 minute cardio workout this morning. Celebrating that I’ve been able to stay consistent for the past couple of weeks after my surgery that was two months ago.
I feel stronger than I’ve EVER been. Celebrating that I am still able to go for a run without getting a side ache. Celebrating that I have helped several women stay consistent with their goals and gave them the encouragement + permission to START right where they are.
There’s no easy way out when you’re looking to accomplish the goals that you’ve already said you’ve wanted. It will take time and effort but I promise when you start to feel energized, strong and confident in your own skin, it’s all worth it! 👏🏼💗😊

Does anyone else think about hard is it going to be to maintain a healthy lifestyle when it’s coming up to Christmas! All the party’s, drinking, eating and nights when you hide under your duvet from the cold eating every chocolate in sight #guilty!
So the key to staying on track for me, is having a routine and some treats thrown in. I will always make my commitment to the gym and it’s so ingrained in me it’s a habit just something I do without thinking and trust me you’ll get there! Once you make it part of your weekly routine and set a time, there are no excuses. Of course lots of events coming up around Christmas time so even more important we are looking after our body’s and staying healthy to not miss out on the fun. So set a time when it’s unlikely you’ll have events on before work or days you know will be quiet after work. Trust me setting your alarm 30 mins earlier to do a Hiit session will feel like the end of the world setting that alarm but once you’ve done it I promise you will feel amazing! And your day will be so much more productive! Try it!
So if your struggling to get to the gym! HIIT is the answer burn some calories and reap the benefits it’s not going to majorly change your body if your looking to build muscle but it will help with fat loss and keeping you active!
Okkkkkkk so here are your inner thigh workouts for the day.
Move 1: Sumo squat pulse! You’ll have all the feels in the inner thighs and booty, make sure your legs are wide apart and get a nice heavy weight. 20 pulses x 4
Move 2: Side lunges. Woooo burnerrrrr 🔥 20 x 4
Move 3: Adduction machine! Killer! This will hurt but keep going. 15 x 4
Move 4: Raised leg lunges. 12 (each leg) x 4

Make do with what you have 💁🏾♀️ still managed to get a sweat in even though the treadmill at our hotel was about a million years old and it took me a while to figure out a pace for my HIIT workout since the speed intervals were all out of whack... I was briskly walking at 5.5 mph 😅 but I got it in! Time to enjoy the day!

LEARN TO REST AND NOT TO QUIT!! I used to be extremely hard on myself. Being a recovering perfectionist is hard people 😂 If I didn't do it perfectly I would stop. This is such a mindshift for me, giving myself some grace and learning that it is okay to skip a workout, or eat that ice cream. So I listened to my body yesterday, I rested AND had ice cream 🌈 I feel like a new person today and even MORE motivated to get back to my goals! Happy Wednesday all 🌻🌞

Scrolling through Instagram 3 1/2 years ago I found @kayla_itsines BBG Program and I watched and scrolled through transformations for a few weeks. Then I decided to pull the trigger and bought the guide..... then I failed at the first 12 weeks. 🤦🏼♀️ But that failing... AGAIN... that fueled my own personal WHY. I was so annoyed with myself because I had worked out those first 12 weeks but I didn’t change a thing about my diet and I knew I could do better.
My WHY was proving it to myself that I could, I could do this thing and transform my body. That was enough for me for those 12 weeks. Seeing the success from putting in the effort helped me keep going and here I am 3 1/2 years later. -
People will try to sell you a quick fix or promise you amazing results but if you are missing your own personal WHY, you won’t make it far. (This is from a recovered yo-yo dieter!! 🙋🏼♀️)
