I went to watch Bohemian Rhapsody earlier and it was the Queen soundtrack still running through my mind getting me through today’s leg workout....Scaramouch Scaramouch can you do the fandango? Nope, BUT I can do burpees and endless amounts of squats and lunges 😝 Take that Galileo 😂
Do anything and everything that makes you happy. Not what makes people around you happy. That is not your concern honestly. Many people do many things to make their lads happy or thinking what that other person gonna think about me etc. We want to fit in. But do we really need? Of course I am talking about a certain extent. Accept the fact that what might give you a lot of happiness might not have the same effect on your mate. That’s perfectly alright. We did not born to be the same. We’re all different and we ought to celebrate our differences. For this, the first thing that needs to happen is for each one of us to be perfectly at ease with who we are. We need to accept the fact that we are good enough. We need to realize that there’s one thing that nobody can be as good at doing as ourselves. And that’s being ourselves. #tuesdaymood#ukfitfam#keeptraining#itsgymtime
Sister, I see you. I see you doing daycare drop offs, running errands, working late nights on your goals. I see you at 3am cuddling your babies after a bad dream. I see you with bags under your eyes sitting at your cubical. I see you juggling the witching hour, making dinner, and trying to keep it all together.
I see you and I am so proud of you. You’re instilling those beliefs in your babies. You are holding everything together even when its hard. Your house might be messy, but that won’t matter years from now. Your dinner might be take out, but who cares. You might be late to meetings. Your remembering all the things, running around like a crazy lady, you are doing what it all.
I pray today you can stop and look at the amazing babies you have created. I pray you can stop and look at all that you have accomplished. I hope you can give yourself a little pat on the back, because you’re killing it. I know it might always feel like an uphill battle, but I promise you—you are doing a great job ❤
Here’s a good ol #transformationtuesday for you. Same number on both sides, but a heck of a lot healthier on the right.
These changes didn’t happen overnight. There’s a lot of years between these photos, and a lot of fluctuations. I’ve given up more times than I can count, fallen back into old habits again and again. But I always tried again.
Between these photos is also a change of mindset. Looking into the mirror and truly accepting and loving who I am. You can always improve yourself because we are made to learn and to grow, but wishing you were someone else is a waste of that beautiful brain power of yours.
It took me a long while to find something sustainable and for that I want to give some credit to @kayla_itsines and @kelseywells . Through their programs I found a love for exercise (and even burpees.. but still not commandos. Those are evil.) I always knew how important exercise was, but never really understood how to let it help my body vs “fix” it.
I learned confidence and overcame some fears. My body might be changing but my soul is smiling brighter than ever.
So here’s to not being a number, loving yourself no matter what, and doing the shit you love. 💙
