Day 17: Brandon ❤️
My Blood. My Cousin. BCG Crew. I know I'm late in the game coming into the BCG Cousins crew, but don't think in this short amount of time you haven't made an impact on me. You see, a man like you demands attention. You demand respect without even having to ask for it, your mere presence requires it. Your drive and determination to not give up on your dreams is admirable. Millions of men dream of being in the NFL everyday, but very few actually make it happen. And I hope I tell u enough and u actually know within the depths of your heart how genuinely proud I am of you. I understand I haven't been around to see the entire journey unfold but I see you now, every year giving your all, putting in extra work to be better than you were the year before. You don't compete with anyone else but yourself bc you know the greatness that lies on the inside of you. When I look at these two pics, I am reminded by the saying "the suit don't make the man, the MAN makes the suit." And in this case, you have certainly proven that to be true. The Saints uniform didn't make you, YOU made the Saints uniform. YOU made #16 mean something. I was never more of you in that moment when I saw u raise your fist. Bc the reality of it is, people can say what they want, but it takes courage to stand up for what u believe in. To risk everything you have worked so hard for. We like to assume NFL players are going along with a "trend" but I knew for u it was more than that. You had a platform in which u wanted to use to bring attention to a matter that is important to u and ur culture. Taking a stand for more than just yourself and ready to face whatever consequences came as a result. So today I celebrate you for being a man of integrity, a man of humility & one that truly loves his fam. Inspiring me to stand up for a cause, no matter the risks or circumstances. Love u cousin ❤️ #31DaysOfLove#Day17#Family#Cousin#BCG#Day17Of31DaysOfLove#CelebratingOthers#GivingThemTheFlowersWhileTheyCanSmellThem#Bday31DaysOfLove
LADIES 🏋🏽♀️ Does this image scare you? Don’t let it!
So many women are under the impression that adding weight training to their fitness routine will make them “bulky” but this couldn’t be further from the truth. Yes, you will increase your lean muscle mass and yes, this will change your shape, but not the way you might think! Weight bearing exercise also increases your metabolism and your bone density - especially important for women as the gap between our 20s and the present gets wider! Whether you find yourself in this bracket, or if you’re a younger woman just starting out at the gym, it’s important to form good habits, and it’s never too late to start. We have a few different ways for you to begin your weight training journey with us, including our very own @hbstrengthtrainingsystem, @lesmillsnz Body Pump, or a good old fashioned session in the barbell section. If you’re unfamiliar with weight training, we agree, it can be a little overwhelming at first - so please come and chat with us at reception and let us help you find the right path for your fitness goals and needs.
