This is the heaviest I've squatted since making the decision to try and rebuild my squat over four months ago due to an ongoing injury 🤠
95kgs for a beltless single. I wonder if I can crack 100kgs beltless 🤔 ... lel probably not.
My ass was coming off the bench but just barely
Clip from yesterday
176 lbs (kilo plates) with chains (60lbs)
236lbs at the top
This was my top set, it was supposed to be a triple but I only got two, but I took a quick rest and did one more rep
2 weeks out
150kg squat at 60.5kg 😊💪
I have spent much more time on squatting than deadlifting this prep mainly due to taking precaution with my lower back. The last cut I did, I injured it fairly badly and it has never been the same since. Therefore, I am taking a much more conservative approach with deads and trying to train a huge squat instead 🤗
I am also loving tracking the progress of this cut so far. I am eating plenty of food, I am training with the same intensity as before and best of all, no cardio! Ill admit the weight is feeling heavier the lighter I get, however it is still moving fairly quickly 💪
3 weeks post injury and finally back to some normalcy in my training.
Still some numbness in the quad, and at least 30% atrophy in the left quad.
Started feeling better last week, but patience is going to be 🗝 gradually building up the load and intensity again.
Today’s training session.

Another one bites the dust 🏋🏻♂️😁Yesterday was a great day despite not taking home any pbs but I took home SO many positives from the day and am a much better technical lifter 😁 I won my weight class and managed to win the best overall raw classic lifter award for the 4th time and matched my pbs. Well done to my little Galway munchkin @deadliftsanddoggos you strong little thing. @maeveie @conroyshazar
@michelleg294 and @tommyspike thank you for your many UPS yesterday 😂Without My #1 @larmckenna by my side the last few months things would have been so much harder so thank you for your help, love and never ending support ❤ @kpstrengthtraining you have had your work cut out with me the past year but serious improvements have been made so thank you!
