I remember being in the 5th grade at Del Amo Elementary School in Carson CA where the girls there hated me JUST b/c my hair was naturally long. I was always different than everybody else and girls in school saw that & that made them dislike me. It was like a clique of mean ass 5th grade black girls & I remember crying to my mom about it all the time I never wanted to go to school & being that I had just moved from San Diego I just couldn’t understand why these girl hated me so bad until I realized it really had nothing to do with me! It was society! Society has always pinned women against each other while still trying to “empower” women together 🤔 but what I do know is that there is room for every flower to grow in a garden you don’t have to throw dirt! Instead of despising someone whatever the reason is try loving them for that exact same reason! Reality tv just throws around the phrase “Women Empowerment” while in the same scene throwing drinks on each other & putting the next woman down! Honestly that attitude is played out the world has enough deceit, evil & pain in it try being the light ladies! Yesterday I complimented so many women just because! Some complimented me as soon as they laid eyes on me & I embraced every single woman! Do not be intimidated by the next woman! You all breath the Lords breath & bleed the same color! We are all beautiful & we are all Gods daughters! Uplift one another! Be there for another! Support your SISTERS BLACK WOMEN! We are all we have during the struggle! When my mom, siblings & I were in a shelter when I was younger it was a woman’s shelter & we all needed each other’s support in that tragic time! My mom gave wisdom & hope to so many broken women while she was broken herself! I watched her water these women & while some grew from it & some didn’t that’s ok but the ones that my mom influenced were the ones that mattered b/c in that moment my mom made a difference, a difference that this world desperately needs! There is enough room for EVERY WOMAN TO WIN, so be kind, say nice things be that light! You never know what a sister is going through, life is hard enough & the world is cruel enough! 💜👯♀️🤞🏽 #blackgirlmagic

Graduation complete! Next stop, Kindergarten! 👨🏾🎓👨🏾🎓 We are so proud of our little man! Stage fright took over big time but he walked across the stage, got his diploma (with mama right next to him b/c we didn’t pay all that💰for nothing! 🤷🏽♀️😂). His teachers are an amazing bunch & we are going to miss them! Now we kick back and enjoy our last summer as a family of 4! ✌🏾🏖🎡🗺 (Of course my hair dried AFTER the ceremony 🤦🏾♀️🤷🏽♀️😂). #classof2018#prekgraduation#TribeCalledBernard#LucTheDuke
