“She missed her friends so much...not so much that she was lonely, but that she wanted her friends to be able to share all of the lovely things here...” -loosely quoted from “Felicity, American Girl” This phrase resonated with me as we finish up the last chapters via audio. And that about sums up the most of it as we explore and find new places and lovely things. We miss our friends + family terribly + wish to share these lovely places and adventures with them...but too, we are grateful and loving to do this as a family, adventuring together in God’s wild and beautiful world. Truly, the stars are nearer, brighter. The country a little-ok, a LOT-more untouched than where we just moved from. There are fossils to find, warbling birds to serenade us, fish to catch, streams to ford-or drive through-literally. ❤️ I’ll admit, I do love manicured beauty the best on most days. It was one thing I knew I would miss... gardens and architecture, beautiful cared-for spaces everywhere. But the wild, untouched, natural beauty of pastures and rolling hills, mountains, and flowing streams... these are none less wonderful. It feels a little daring for me to be here and enjoy these places... I’m not the active, loving-the-outdoors-no-matter-what kind of girl. But I am pushing myself just a little, and most of all loving to see my children get to experience new and wonderful kinds of nature, new places in God’s world.
8 months ago I hiked to a new spot (for me) on the Buffalo and saw the most beautiful bluff but only from the bank. When I thought about seeing it from a kayak while floating past, my mind doubted it would ever happen. Today it happened. Make your dreams reality. No matter how large or how small.
Help us continue to make ripples with our Buffalo Summer tee campaign✨ Every Roark Bluff shirt purchased is a direct $10 donation to the folks of the Buffalo River Watershed Alliance, an Ozarks based non profit dedicated toward keeping the Buffalo River protected from further corporate pollution.

Arkansas is beautiful.
Big Bluff sticks to the name, BIG. This place in Ponca is filled with the most friendliest spirits. You can always catch tubers, kayakers, and many others floating along the Buffalo River. This spot right here is easily one of my favorite places in the whole state. #bluffsofthebuffalo#fayetchill
This isn't the biggest bluff on the Buffalo but it's hands down my favorite one. This is a special place for my family we've been going here for as long as I can remember. The only cliff I've ever jumped from and my favorite camping spot. Located at grinders ferry right by the highway 65 bridge BTW there's a cave pretty easy to see in the picture but there's also an underwater cave just to the left of the big one. It's really small but still a cave to me. #bluffsofthebuffalo#fayettechill#suspendedinnature#itseverywhere @fayettechill
