I love to eat healthy. But sometimes I really crave french fries. And if they are waffle fries. Omg. Bye.
And I believe in honoring those cravings. I think it’s important to recognize when to throw in the towel, and indulge your cravings. We can’t eat perfectly every minute. If you’ve made a commitment to health, then you know one craving won’t ruin the progress you’ve made.
But the thing I’m trying to work on is identifying why I’m craving something. Is it truly hunger? Am I using food as a reward? Is it a coping mechanism?
Yesterday it started as a way to cope with the stress of a big test. Then it quickly turned into a bribe to get myself to study harder aka reward. Then I had been thinking about fries long enough that I knew I had to honor the craving or I wouldn’t be satisfied the rest of the day.
I’m trying to be more mindful of my eating patterns, because they can illuminate other stressors in our lives. #intuitiveeating is easier said than done. But I’m taking it one step at a time...here’s to figuring it out!

I don’t CARROT all that these didn’t come out to perfection the first time around 🤷🏻♀️🥕 but I was so happy I tried something new in the kitchen! I loved finding these organic tri-colored carrots from @traderjoes 😍 so I roasted them with some evoo, salt, pepper & dill! Need to tweak the cooking time and add a litttttle more seasoning, but once I master the recipe, I’ll share it with all of you! 🥕🎉✨

CAULI-POWERED 🥦 second time using the @traderjoes cauliflower crust (but the first time it turned out alright 💪🏻) trick is to get the crust nice and crispy in the oven before adding toppings. I’ve said this before, but I do not have a sweet tooth... everyone is posting sweet treats and I’m like where’s the garlic?!? 😂 This ASIAN PEANUT BUTTER SAUCE 🥜 is a savory dream 🙌🏼 with harissa, garlic, and toasted sesame oil, it’s the perfect sauce to top your stir fry! 🥦 I only wish it was acceptable to eat for breakfast 😛
Asian Peanut Butter Sauce—-
3 cloves garlic
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1/4 cup - 1/2 cup water
1 tsp harissa or chili paste 🌶 Blend in a food processor to combine! Add more water to reach desired consistency!

This Korean beef rice bowl is a truly delicious meal that in quick, inexpensive and perfect for the midweek. •
The base of this dish is fluffy sushi rice. Then followed with a generous spoonful of slightly spiced caramelised steak beef mince. Crispy-pan fried enoki mushrooms and soft boiled egg are my favourite additions to this rice bowl, especially the mushrooms. Recipe now Up the blog ☝🏻☝🏻
⏳ Patience makes perfect. If you're familiar with baked cheesecakes it needs to set for atleast hoooours or overnight (I prefer) in the fridge. Today my wait has been rewarded with gentle soft set layered cheesecake. Yes, patience makes perfect ⌛

🍃for the kale 👉🏼 massaged it with olive oil, salt, pepper & garlic powder then baked at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes
🐟for the salmon 👉🏼 coated it in @rubwithlove then broiled on low for 8 minutes. THAT’S IT!
