One of my favourites so far! Inspired by @ponsfordsplace!
Apple walnut whole wheat. 15% fresh milled kamut, 85% fresh milled hard red, a good chunk of apple sauce for hydration (!!!), walnuts. I think it was roughly 116% hydration but it was apple purée so I imaged its lower actual water. -
Using flavorful liquids/purees for hydration is something that was amazing to learn from Craig. Gonna experiment more soon! -
We #love#picknicing about anywhere possible, but especially in the #nature. Last Sunday we got away for a few hours to enjoy the amazing Boranup Karri Forest while having a beautiful #lunch with #homemade treats: our #sourdough#glutenfree#bread, #kimchi, #sauerkraut, #fermented beetroots, carrots and swedes, #carrotspread, #jun drink, polish spicy traditional condiment #cwikla (horseradish with beetroot) and some fresh organic veggies locally grown. Each time we are sharing a similar meal we try to treat it as a beautiful celebration of life. At the same time we can't stop being amazed how well we eat or thankful for having access to such a fresh and nutritious products. It's a joy to #eatwell and #eatwhatyoumake. We don't buy storebought ready to eat canned or bottled products as they are full of artificial colours, flavours and thickeners. We take time to read all the labels with ingredients and country of origin. We try to make smart choices and lessen the amount of bought products to the ones that we can't make ourselves (or at least not at the moment) like olive oil, tahini or honey. But we try harvest and make ourselves from organic and as much local as possible. Hopefully, one day there will be more things that we grow and make ourselves than we buy :)
