Today I took Buster to the Vet for the third time in six months...he’s had chronic eye discharge in his left eye ever since he was about two years old (he is over 7 now)...but his brother Fluffy always took good care of it, cleaning it as soon as it would come out if his eye, that way, it never even started to irritate Buster’s eye at all. But ever since Fluffy passed away last October...it suddenly got really bad, because it wasn’t getting cleaned non-stop and i was out of town as well. As soon as I got back home in November, I adopted Razzy, and Buster immediately welcomed him into his Home, he was just so happy to have someone lick his eyes clean again....but Razzy isn’t as good with staying on top of it as Fluffy was, so I have to clean it a lot too...but still it’s always irritated from being moist all the time...or when it dries, then Razzy nibbles it off and it gets bloody and then i put Vaseline on it.
Anyway, we have tried a couple rounds of antibiotics already in the past....but today we decided, because antibiotics aren’t getting rid of the discharge, to not do antibiotics again....but she said even though to me his eye might look in bad condition, but she said she can tell that I’m taking good care of it, and that it’s not as bad as it could be...and since he is eating and drinking well and seems to be in good spirits, she said to just keep doing what I’m doing. ❤️
