Why did I choose this pic? I’m about to explain! Not to worry, a selfie with my new hairdo is on the way.
It all started a few months ago when I still had my long hair. I thought to myself “I’m getting so sick and tired of my current hair-especially when it takes forever: I think it’s about time for a change. I want to have a buzzcut as it’s in style.” Mind you, the top reasons why I wanted a buzz cut was:
1. my hair was really damaged with split ends, etc.
2. Wanted something new
3. Got tired of putting up my hair for work as it was so thick and oily. My daily routine with my hair was getting super boring.
It was on my mind every single weekend until Victoria Day this year when I finally had enough and just did it.
No, I didn’t cry when the long hair came off, in fact, I felt like I had a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders and once the transition from having long hair to short was complete, I felt like I was a new person.
Tbh, I’ve had a ton of positive comments about my hair at work already. It was my decision to have this done and it feels so good that I’ve finally got what I’ve wanting for

Last October in NYC I attended my first @elevatehair show, since then I have been obsessed with the idea of being part of the outstanding lineup. I mean who doesn’t want to celebrate the art of hairdressing on stage in front of hundreds of people while getting down to Biggy? Fast forward 7 months and I can finally say I DID IT! Huge shoutout to @tatumneill for making Austin feel like home, I can only hope you will have me again at another show in the future!
