An a1c measures the last 2-3 months worth of someone’s blood sugars. It can range from about 5 (amazing, great control, a general blood sugar of about 100) to 14 (“uncontrolled”, or an average blood sugar of about 350). A year or so ago mine was over 10 (and has been as high as 13 in the past). The honest truth of it is, sometimes you just need a “break” and your control isn’t as good. But this last year I’ve been dedicated to tightening my control. In December I was 9 something. In May I was 7.7 (the lowest id been since before my wedding in 2013!). And in October ... 6.5. The lowest (best controlled) I’ve been since diagnosis in 2010. I know some people don’t like to share their a1c and I know an a1c isn’t a “tell all”... but I’m sharing because I’m fucking PROUD of the work I’ve put in this year. 🖤 So lets celebrate, use the code a1c65 for 20% off anything on cricketlanestudio.com!
