Ever drawn to the beautiful art work of the wondrous @leighviner She captures the essence of the female form with an approach to line work and use of media that enchants me. I thought this particular piece was apt as I find myself in my usual battle of rising in the early hours. As we approach the longest day it does not seem as crazy to find myself alert and awake. Why not when it’s starting to get light at 4am? In truth I have padded downstairs and made myself a lemon and ginger tea. Yesterday - TOO much happened and whilst I sometimes give the illusion of taking things in my stride, often it’s a tricky balance of the whirl of life coupled with the unexpected challenges and boy yesterday delivered with full gusto. “Ok...yesterday....you think you were going to flatten me and flaw me?....think again!!!” You see I’ve developed quite a resilience this year I surprise myself. When thrust into simply dealing with the madness of an exceptionally challenging day I was oddly encouraged by my own coping strategies. I shall be writing more on this subject shortly as I am super concerned as a society we are hurtling into a myriad of even more stress, increased anxiety and issues that we need to more than ever find some inner peace. I’ll write more soon as this is going to take a blend of some research along with a few interesting insights about our genetic history. But for now I’ll sip on my tea and prepare myself for a normal, boring day (....does such a thing exist anymore - please say so as I could kinda use one) #musing#lifestress#leighviner#mindfulness#calm#reformation#innerpeace
Are you interested in starting to Meditate but not sure how to? Here are a couple guidelines to help you get started!💗 1. Start slow, just 5 minutes each day. Gradually increase over several weeks.
2. Find a comfortable spot where you can sit and not be disturbed.
3. Close your eyes and relax, palms facing up. You can count your breaths to 10 and restart or simply say "in, out." When your mind wanders- which it will do- gently guide your attention back to your breath. *Noticing that your mind has wandered is the whole point of meditation- you are becoming more aware of the actions of your mind.*
4. Find the best time of the day for YOU and make it a habit.
Happy Meditating Everyone!💗🙏 #prairieenergyhealing#moosejaw#sk#meditation#meditationmonday#beginner#peace#calm#happiness#changesyourlife#selfcare#spirituality
