I am blessed to have spent the last week on hiatus learning to sail my boat, The Rebel. I never remember how important it is to take a few days to let go of day-to-day expectations and to relax until I find myself back on the lake of the valley. We cooked three (if not four) locally-sourced meals, stoked a fire, sweat out our liquor in the sauna, and enjoyed our family's company every day this last week. Life can be so simple- remember to take it a breath at a time. ⛵
I strongly believe that everyone needs a yearly hiatus. Luckily, my family has a tradition of escaping to the woods of Itasca State Park and spending time together on Bad Medicine Lake. A week's worth of sailing and locally-sourced meals have both Caleb and I feeling rejuvenated and ready to finish out this season's harvest.
Shout out to our intern @etr3a for keeping the gardens and greens company and supporting us in our absence. Microgreen and Vegetable CSAs will resume on Thursday, August 23rd. See you next week! 🙌🌱
