Update on Orien:
He had his vet appointment today. The vet gave him a little gas so he can go to sleep and he can get a proper sample. His vet took samples from his lymph node which is still swollen and some samples from his foot which is also still swollen. Orien was than woken up, fed a little and we were able to go home without complications.
The samples were sent out. We will know in a couple of days what the findings are. So far it seems the lymph node is a bit fatty. When he took samples from Orien's foot it bleed. It is possible he had a blood blister on his paw pad which was caused in his original home where he was caged for 6 months without any out time. His cage also had wire flooring. Orien was treated previously for a foot infection. His foot was encrusted with urine and fecal matter and he was unable to separate his toes. We were able to remedy that by gently washing his foot with antibacterial soap.
So for now he is resting with a belly full of soupies. He's groggy and a bit high. Light activity is in order for tonight into tomorrow.
