Mixed berries cobbler with homemade whipped cream. How can something so simple be so delicious?! And healthy too!!! Have you tried adding maple extract to the whip before? Oh my it's so delicious! I used my friend Jennifer Griffin's mixed cobbler recipe. This time I made it an S version by adding a little extra butter.
Stay trim stay healthy,
Happy 23 months Xanthe Esmeralda! I cannot believe that you’ll be 2 soon. However, your ‘fun factor’ is going from strength to strength and although I miss my little baby I love watching you grow and thrive! (Here you are dancing to ‘You Sexy Thing’ while having your ‘coppee’ date with dad) x
Chicken salad is waiting for me when I get home tonight! We have this weekly. It’s my favorite. This is an “S” meal with decadent toppings. I’ll slather on my homemade olive oil vinaigrette dressing and have iced green tea sweetened with pure stevia powder. I make four huge salads. Each of us may eat them at different times depending upon our schedule. ⠀
Here is what I mean. Today’s menu:⠀
🍽Breakfast =oatmeal 🍽Lunch= Waldorf salad 🍽Dinner =chicken salad. ⠀
We all had the same breakfast but my daughter and son had chicken salad for their lunches, while my husband and I ate Waldorf because it is easier to take to work. The chicken salad takes a longer time to eat, so I’m saving that for the evening meal. ⠀
My daughter works the evening shift so she’ll take her Waldorf salad to work for her dinner. ⠀
If I’m not home by dinner time, my husband likes that the chicken salad is ready whenever he is, no prep! ⠀
We all have different schedules but I prepped the same for everybody. ⠀
*When I’m not taking a photo our salads are stacked in the fridge in plastic containers. Each person has a different colored lid b/c not everyone likes the same toppings. 12 years ago, we welcome our son Obinna Kevin Nwobodo into this world.
There are several things I love and respect about Obinna: - He’s a natural leader who cares about people. - He’s sharp and dedicated to completing things he starts. - He knows himself and believes in his dreams. - He protective and caring with his sisters (when they are outside because when they are home they bicker about everything. #siblinglife 😂) What God has taught me through him is that everything is going to be just fine so relax.
Happy Birthday to my amazing son Obinna! May God continue to bless you all the days of your life. 💜

Yep. Every day is an opportunity to dig, deconstruct, question and wonder. As a Certified Relationship Coach, Parent Educator and Compassion Coach, I can help you too. One of my teachers, Kristin Neff, teaches that one of the biggest indicators of trauma healing is self compassion showing up. And integrating. It is such a great feeling to feel compassion for the self. You benefit, your partner benefits and your children benefit. Head over to my Facebook page and join me this Fall for The Self Compassion Project. ❤️
This year has been full of uncertainty and just when I thought it was coming to an end, the uncertainty continues. But apparently the waxing quarter moon this weekend will thankfully offer up amazing support to manifest a dream, experience deep feelings of love and connect to what matters most to you. Bring it on…and happy weekend! A x
When we’re thinking about which services and packages to offer through our business, we’re often solely focussed on the impact for our clients.⠀
Of course this is important, but equally so is considering the impact on ourself and our life. If the manner in which we work and serve doesn’t energise us or create the kind of environment in which our whole self can thrive, it isn’t really sustainable⠀
If you’re currently or soon to be deciding on how to structure your offerings, remember to think about the kind of lifestyle you truly want, and how you can create services that nurture instead of hinder it.
