Food Forrest 🌳 I thought I’d take some photos today of some of our fruit trees on our property of 8 acres. We have been growing them for many years. The Pistachio’s were planted 17 yrs ago, 25 trees. One of the Almond trees is easy 65 yrs old. We chopped the old Almond tree back 17 yrs ago and it sprouted back and has given us nuts every year. As with all fruit and nut trees there are good years and bad. We have at least 50 fruit or nut trees plus 3 grape vines. Over the years we have used local manure to fertilise the trees and they are very happy and supply us with abundance. I can’t express enough the value of fresh home grown food. This year’s #transformation offering. As I’m not shooting this year, the aim was get to a shape that would leave me around 8-10 weeks out of shoot ready, and maintain that indefinitely. I was sick to death of ballooning up and shrinking down, and it was doing me no good. This way I work hard and diet well 90% of the time, and the 10% I fancy some flexibility, I don’t sweat it at all. The goal is to never allow my condition to slip farther than the picture on the right for good now. With a bit of hard work and consistency this really isn’t that hard. That way when it’s time to get in front of the camera again, it’s an 8 week slog and job done. Do what makes you happy #flexfriday
